The driveway into the property is fairly bumpy. As a result, a vehicle with a higher ground clearance is recommended, but cars can make it as long as they drive carefully and follow the posted signs. Smaller trailers can make it into the driveway, and there is a space at the end to turn around with a small trailer. Longer trailers will not make it down the driveway, but space for parking is available along the side of the private road near the entrance of the driveway.
The cabin has two bed rooms with a queen size bed in each room. There is also a double-size mattress futon in the common area.
There are bed sheets, pillow cases and blankets available at the cabin. Guests are welcome to bring their own.
Please see Rental Information for more details on what is included.
As the cabin is off-grid, there is no flushable toilet or a shower in the cabin. There is a toilet room equipped with a composting toilet. There are three (3) easy steps you must follow to prep the composting toilet before use, and one (1) easy step to follow before your departure.
During your stay, when using the composting toilet, just remember this rhyme: If you pee, let it be. If you poop, add a scoop (of compost)! :)
For those who are shy, there is also an outhouse a short distance away from the cabin.
No, but there are battery-powered pot lights in the common area. The kitchen sink tap is also powered by battery, sourced by solar panel. Instructions for use is outlined in the welcome binder.
Dogs are welcome. We have two of our own!
However, renters are responsible for their own pets. Owners are not responsible for any injuries.
